As Rachel and Jesse look at her mom's phone:
Jesse: How can they know this right away, I mean, we didn't put out a press release or anything?
Shelby: The press release you sent out regarding wanting to start a family might have set off those rumors. You have to watch what you say Rachel. The press takes things many ways. That's why I had my press secretary release a statement congratulating my daughter on her pregnancy but asking for privacy on behalf of the entire family.
Rachel: You did what mom? Wait, the press knows I am your daughter?
Shelby: They saw the resemblance. It was just a matter of time before they asked Rachel. Press devours you now. Wouldn't it be better for them to know you are actually the daughter of a Broadway star so that is how you have your experience. It makes you look stronger, shows that you were just nervous in your first shows and that is why it went south. You were just trying to impress your family.
Rachel: I don't want that though mom. I want to start my own career and not be in your shadow all the time. You may be on Broadway but I want my own career eventually.
Shelby: And with my connections now, you can get shows easier because they know that if your mother is so good then her daughter must be even better.
Jesse: It doesn't matter anymore though Rachel because we said we were here to stay for Dalton-McKinley and Glee.
Rachel: -Looks at her mom and Jesse- I swear, you guys can't give me a break. I am pregnant and I can't have this stress. Why are you supporting this Jesse? I mean, you want me to be healthy, tell her not to do this. And I said, I may not want to go back. Now, I can't because I will always be known as the daughter of an icon and nothing more. Thanks a lot mom. -Storms off mad-
Jesse: -Looks at Shelby and sighs- Maybe you shouldn't have come.
Shelby: Go talk to your wife and get her to calm down, I will just wait. If you want me to leave, just come tell me and I will.
Jesse: Thanks. -Goes to see his wife in their room, sighing-
